Health screening in malaysia

Time again to do some health screening...I was checking online to see how the price is like currently...almost all package that is a little more comprehensive(I really mean just a little more comprehensive or probably it is one which most of us should go for)cost at least SGD400....

 

Altought I don't spend this money every month....Just once in one or two years....But I still feel the pinch...This make me wonder how can the poor afford this kind of money for health screening ??? Does the MIW have anything for the poor ?? SGD400 could have let let someone survive for at least a month....

 

Anyone here have any idea if health screening affordable or available to the poor???

Change job to get a free health check.

 

The prospective employer will sponsor the next health check before he decides to hire.

not to recommend but to let people me know that parkway shenton group (the one that operates east shore hospital) has a standard health screening package @ S$250.

Planning to go for one comprehensive health screening soon...

 

 

Thought of going to hospital for screening as they have better facilities like threadmill, etc ...

 

Getting older liao, so better to do this once 2-3 years ...

Scanning thru their brochure, I notice their packages does not include cancer marker. They are optional and rather expensive if they were to be added on.

 

Those I  found from neighborhood got marker, but not ECG, treadmill.

many patients i see always want to go HOME before they really return ic liao...

I find treadmill not say very accurate on the result, as my colleague who went for treadmill always result not very good, then went further test on ECG etc, result ok.
