actually my link was for the free cleaning service, not so much about the trade in [laugh]

they are targeting at top load cos it usually use more water.

Yup.. Only for certain top load model... Need to tell them the model when making the purchase.

Had a Samsung top load for a couple of months, then black stuff appears in the wash and dirty the clothing.

Replaced with a Electrolux front load, about $200 more than the SS top load.

If this promo had came up earlier, I probably wouldn't buy it either. No more Samsung WM for me.

I think it's their cheapo way of getting the potential fire hazard of the older top loaders out of the circulation.

Recall where done in USA.

I am curious if their free maintenance includes swapping of components.

But if you have an old Samsung top loader, better take up the free maintenance or trade in to be safe.

So far my Samsung washing machine saves water and very durable. Washed clean too. Mine is front load. I use it with a Amway washing powder.
