Turbocharged

Specwise looks pretty neat. Marbella cams so far have been good for their price.

If anything though I must say the camera itself is pretty bland looking...

I bought the camera after I read through the thread here. I must said it's really value for money and the features are very impressive. Anyone can recommend me some good workshop since Challenger don't provide installation services?

I think most workshops will do it. I did mine at Soon Lee, Geylang Road.

Now its going for 299, with free 100 dollars installation voucher

Yap good price and I got mine at IT show too. Thanks for all the recommendation peeps and I'll share more. By the way, I read their brochure again and I saw the optional gps logger, does it mean it can track your current car location?

Hmm i think the price was $279? How come increase to 299 for IT show?

Oh yeah, there's one thing I find quite stupid about the rear cam. Videos made are laterally flipped. Like taking selfie. Just wondering why Marbella can't solve this seemingly simple issue.

May I know where can I buy and install this at the best price?

I bought and installed from their authorised dealer, Specialists Audio at Bukit Merah at $339 during non promo period.

May I check for the KR5 is there any way to manually switch off / stop recording while driving? Example entering army camp need to off it. Is there a button for that?

Hi, i also installed a power switch due to the nature of my workplace. I done it for $15 for soon Lee @ Geylang.. Since my car cam is recording 24/7, so he install the switch between the fuse wire and cam. The switch is small that I slot it into the small gap of my steering wheel.

There's an on-off switch at the cam right? Right side to the screen

Don't really know how to describe this exactly. The sticky part that is attached to the windscreen (by 3M I think) is losing its stickiness, resulting in the camera holder coming loose and dangling from the wires. Usually happens after I park outdoors baked in sunlight.

Anyone know if I can solve this DIY or I have to go back to installers? Could I replace the adhesive myself? The side that is stuck to windscreen is still pretty strong though.

You should get the 3M VHB (Very High Bond) tape and do it yourself

You can buy it cheap from ebay

This cam is going for $259 at tomorrow's CEE show at Suntec, with free $60 installation voucher and SD card. Good deal? Any feedback from current users?

Neutral Newbie

I just bought mine from qoo10 for $259 after kena hit and run and my camera is faulty (walletpain)

installed the cameras in my carpark. Took me about 30 minutes to run the wires thru the headliner, removing a,b,c pillar trim. Definitely doable with some patience. Paid $15 to a shop to do up the constant power wiring.

Love the camera so far.

Quick review

Good: parking mode via voltage monitoring, 3.5" touchscreen, wifi connectivity for its price, very very clear front camera, lane departure warning, easy to use wifi app, disable flashing led while recording (glare), best camera at this pricerange.

Bad: gyro triggers via bumps or my loud sound system v easily (hear 2 beeps), rear camera quality at night questionable, unable to playback front and back at the same time (play either front or back),

In a nutshell, its the best bang for the buck camera in my opinion. The downsides are very miniscule which can be easily ignored (mute or etc).
