Am sure the Beza is going to create a storm if buyers are more receptive of the brand, which is essentially a rebadged Toyota, with its renowned petrol sipping dual VVTi engine.

Driven a friend's Bezza in Malacca and it's my 2 cents' view:

Its light kerb weight of 915kg provides a superb power to weight ratio, and interior space is comparable to the Mitsubishi Attrage, with the advantage of being broader in width. The 4 speed automatic provides better feel and power, with reconditioned gearboxes readily available, as compared to a hefty sum to replace an entire CVT gearbox.   And noting beats the added assurance with its 5 Star NCAP rating, which is highly commendable for a "budget" car.

It's like getting a Toyota at a fraction of the price, with abundance of cheap spare parts up North!

Hopefully, Perocom Auto brings in the 5 speed manual too, to offer some respite on the lack of manual saloons avail in the mkt, the only other option available, being the Nissan Almera 1.5.

ok, saw this car in M'sia.

In fact, it was by my wife who brought me to the showroom as my in law, is keen on this car.

Pretty decent to me, much heavier and spacious as compare to the attrage.

anyway, I have signed up, tentatively I should be able to attend.

Hopefully the price is good and attractive.

What's a good price based on today's COE price? Same as Attrage which is around $78k? Or at least $5k cheaper?

tough question, if I were the marketing head.

I will definitely drop the price to below 70k, including COE with free servicing for 4 years in Malaysia.

First, I save the rental and labor charges as compare to SG.

second, with such bold moves, my goals are simple. I want to dominate Cat A class and feel my existence in SG

Third, everyone can now afford a car, not forgetting this car got "huge' boot.

lastly, even with the tag of below 70K, I should still make profit.

(lets say COE is at 48k, another 20k for the car, total at 68k)

Of course, if only I am their marketing head. :XD:

you got a brand new car, cars are expensive in SG, because of our COE.

Hence, cars are cheap.

actually not only you, If they drop to 70k, I probably will change.

Perodua makes good car.

Look at their kelisa and viva, well received till date.

Credit you for your out of the box thinking but not everyone willing to drive into Malaysia to do servicing even though free. As for showroom, you must have presence here else it just won't attract buyers but then as rental costs here are so high, u will need around $10k margin per car to sustain overheads.

Just guessing with OMV of say $6k+ (not sure if this is possible?) and say $50k COE, it will add up to $65k at least so selling price will be around $75k which is in Note and Attrage category already. Tough I feel but let's see and good luck to the AD as always good to have more choices.

Precisely, the free servicing is a boost to those who will drive to Malaysia.

It boost the brand image of perodua and also the economy of Malaysia if it really works.

Yeah, local showroom is definitely a must for viewing and presence.

as for service centre, they can actually have a pool of partners, partnership with workshops islandwide.

Win - win situation.

easily available support in the local market, with lowered overhead.

OMV of 6K, doable for entry level.

if they were to price it at the range of Note and Attrage.. then its gonna be another flop.

Look at proton.. gone in SG.

if given a choice, why would I want a made in Malaysia?

Unless there are a major pull factor.

*2 cent worth of thoughts disclaimer*

ya, not that I am complaining Axia is not good. But if Bezza sells for 70k, then I would have grossly overpaid for my Axia..

Too bad my Kelisa had to scrap this year, otherwise could have hold till they launch Bezza..
