I hope you are doing some trekking while there, not just a flight over Everest.

There are some short treks if you don't have time.

One of my favorite destinations.

The pictures by description.

1) early morning flight to everest. This is where we boarded the plane.

2) A view of everest from the cockpit. Not easy to make out everest cos there are many peaks and it is not easy to say this is everest unless you are focused on it or climbing it. This view of everest was pointed out by the pilot.

3)views from window seat

4)due to bad weather we were diverted to pokhara for a while so I took the opportunity for some pictures.

You are on package tour or free and easy?

Enjoy your trip!

Neither. I there visiting my friend so we make up the plans as we go along.

The next plan is pokhara and dharan by land so it will be a road trip.

The first and third picture is of pokhara. The middle picture, the one where is misty was taken during the drive through the mountains from kathmandu to pokhara.

Brother Philip Kee, I admired your spirit of giving and sharing, even in nursing, you can make time for Nepal visitation, something I intend to do in the near future, never mind the photos as it is taken as last minutes sharing, we appreciate your thoughts, Do have a great trip and enjoy the natural beauty of Nepal. Looking forward to more photos of your sharing after your trip

Happy New Year 2017 [thumbsup]

If TS is already at Pokkara, can do short treks from there.

Poon hill, about 4 or 5 days, would let you view Annapura range of Dhaulagiri range.

excellent view from that poon hill lookout, especially early in the morning ie 6-6am.

Haha. Only here for a short while. It is cold here though not as cold as kathmandu. A reason could be because it is so crowded because of the new year celebration. So will not be trekking.

Below are the pics of pokhara from the hotel with some boating to a temple in the middle of the lake.

And the last picture is that of what I heard is a traditional nepali meal.

1st picture is of the river. Note how sunny it is

2nd picture is of the sleet that came a short time later. Weather can suddenly change especially in the mountains.

3rd picture more scenery

4th picture is of people doing paragliding. Not me though as I am scared of heights. Hahaha

i have had a couple of beers with a locally based Gurkha. We were served warmed Tiger beer. I called it Tiger Piss.

Good to know this preference is not unique to that guy I met.
