A little bit surprised that Kia is not even in the top ten given how many people say how good value the Kia k3 is.

Seems like you see more k3 than elantra on the road, and yet k3 not on the list.

The Korean cars are popular because they provide good value for money cars that rival the Corolla in reliability, yet have more features.

They are also amenable to all kinds of mods.

Likewise for the QQ, that's why you can see all manner of chatter in forums like this.

But all of these pale in comparison to the mighty Corolla in sales volume..

It just keeps selling and the facelift version looks impressive, especially if it's priced right.

With it's neutral band maintained, it can only sell more in 2017 and 2018.

Supersonic

Cars like Toyota Corolla, Nissan Qashqai, Mazda 3 and Honda Civic would sell well this year.

Continentals, think the Audi A3, Mercedes-Benz GLC, Citroën C5 Picasso and maybe 天魔兄's Opel Astra.

Dividing it into different bands:

Ala Hyundai's tiers

Tier 1

<90k

Basic Elantras and K3s

Attrage

Tier 2

<110k

Mazda 3

Nissan QQ

Corolla 2017 version

Honda Vezel / HRV

Tier 3

< 140k

Forester FXT

BMW 216d

Tier 4

>141k

Merc C Class

Merc E Class

That should make ten or so...

Some models might generate a lot of talk, or are good value, but somehow I don't think Singaporeans will deviate from their current choice...

I can only see maybe one diesel in the top ten.

And next year, the list will be massively different..

Actually bro, I am not sure if the Audi sells enough A4s to make it into the top 10 or 15..

Likewise for the Lexus ES, that's quite a low volume seller IMO.

S Class might make it into the top 25 perhaps..

This isn't a list of the most desirable cars  [:p]

Quite surprise to see a much less talked about X-Trail among the top ten in 2016.

That's why I say high volume of chatter on a thread doesn't really translate into sales..

And quiet threads may mean low complaint rates or that the owners simply aren't into forums.. like the all conquering Corolla..

Remember read some where Vezel sales volume in 2016 = 6000 plus. So it could still be fighting no.1 spot in 2017 with Altis and QQ

Top ten perhaps but sales have petered off IMO.. you see less new Vezels on the road and the number of HRVs aren't as much...

I am not sure if the edgy design will suit the masses....and the look may not age well....
