Actually it is going to be super underutilized

Though my old 40d had seen lots of usage

Maybe shouldn't waste money lah

You know the backside itchy thing

I think if I don't have canon things, I would have bought Sony

yeah your kids quite big liao right, soon they won't pose for you. lol.

Get 5dm4! Lol

7dm2 is probably the best apsc body canon has right now. Def a notch up from the 40d. Why dont u go for used 5d3? Personally, ff sensors are not only bigger, but also better in quality.

Cant consider 5 series

Fps not fast enough

But nowadays I one year I think take out the camera less than 10 times

I think just continue my 40d

Until the shutter really jit bah boom

yeah your kids quite big liao right, soon they won't pose for you. lol.

No lah

They already don't pose long ago

In fact I don't want pose one

It is those funny action that they do that is the beauty of these photos

Recently I went to adventure cove and got some nice ones

Something like this

SplashworksV2.jpg

So they do the backwards walk lah, the waking in the air lah, the twist lah

The pictues not bad

Bro. technology.

The 7D2 was 2014 technology. And even then other than the multiple AF points, it wasn't even close to groundbreaking.

Sony a6300.

https://petapixel.com/2016/02/03/sony-a6300-boasts-the-worlds-fastest-af-and-highest-number-of-af-points/

I didnt say its high tech. Alot of cameras in the market now have tons of af points. Just that the 7d have alot of af points which some buyers prefer. 7d and 6d have similar price but some ppl prefer af points over ff. It was one of my consideration when i was looking for a new gear too. Its just choices. Good or bad is up to the user and how the gears are used.

IMO:

You can pick up any book in the library, then read a bit of the basic, eg Nat Geo has some nice basic books.

The rest is about practice..

I can't say each pic is nice, but if you keep practising, some of them will be nice :)

And these days, it's digital, so there's no cost..

Wow, underwater shot with an iPhone? Cool..

Classes share the basics, rule of thirds, use of lines, exposure etc.

The thing is that once you learn these, the rest is about experimenting, and going out there..

No substitute for real shooting. But Nikon / Canon have some classes where the pro shows how he got his shot, that's a nice place to start.

I also visit read some magazines, and see how they get their shots.

Also check out the shots others take, eg this lady takes some really nice shots:

Lee Siew Yan also does photo trips:

Yup I agree, it's just lot of practice.

Learning how to get the effect u want. how to best change settings on the fly to suit your environment and lighting etc.

Composition, lines etc, all is your own creative skill.

Haha some people like to climb high, crawl low to get their unique perspective. I'm one lazy bugger lol.

Creativity I think I am not those Super good but not those Super bad either

Probably need to bring the camera out more to explore the functions

Find cute shots for a start, and use the rules only as a guide, and feel free to break the rules..

But having a eye for a shot takes time and practice :)
