Today's advert on ST.

Coe up , price down. Cruze turbo 1.4 94999*.

The condition is that you must take their car loan, minimum 50-70% over 7 yrs. But their interest rate is 2.18%, bank promo rate.

So you will end up paying between $7-10k extra for interest.

This is lelong sale to clear stock.

With interest in, price is attractive for a CAT B 140hp car. If don't mind the badge, somehow feel that Chevy car not so reliable.

Chevy is techically a Korean car.

As reliable as Kia and Hyundai.

Cruze 1.4 turbo at $94,999 is a steal. The six speed auto tranny is more engaging to drive than a CVT. Similar option is VW Jetta that costs at least $10,000 more, and you may face DSG gear problem.

Definitely bespoke compared to China made cars.

alamak you add up all for me foir 12 months; I will send them Notis of Assessment for YA 2016  :grin:

Baskit ..... earn like so easy [knife]

Just realized that I missed out some details from LTA website in the previous post.

The details of the April 2017 first open bidding exercise for Certificates of Entitlement (COEs) are as follows:

Tender opens: Monday, 10 April 2017, 12 noon

Tender closes: Wednesday, 12 April 2017, 4.00 pm

Tender results: Wednesday, 12 April 2017 (Available on the www.onemotoring.com.sg website)

The total quota available for this tender is 4,431 for the following vehicle categories:

NON-TRANSFERABLE CATEGORIES:

Category A: Cars (up to 1600cc & 97kW (130bhp)) => 2,068

Category B: Cars (above 1600cc or 97kW (130bhp)) => 1,360

Category D: Motorcycles => 355

TRANSFERABLE CATEGORIES:

Category C: Goods Vehicles and Buses => 162

Category E: Open Category => 486

While I do not want to speculate the movement of COE premium (as usual), I can safely say that the revenue to be collected for this round of bidding exercise shall continue to exceed $200mil... (waoh this must be the best business model in the world [thumbsup] , generating hundreds of millions $$$ once every 2 weeks, yet with min. investment and operating cost!! [idea] )

For those that just can't wait to have more numbers to chew on, the top 10 highest record of revenue collected by LTA in the past years are:

#1 $248,397,429 (2nd round of Jun 2016)

#2 $245,820,002 (2nd round of Jul 2016)

#3 $242,779,458 (1st round of Jun 2016)

#4 $240,485,882 (1st round of Jul 2016)

#5 $228,275,995 (1st round of May 2016)

#6 $220,065,726 (2nd round of Aug 2016)

#7 $218,852,981 (2nd round of Mar 2017)

#8 $217,457,475 (1st round of Sep 2016)

#9 $215,747,581 (2nd round of May 2016)

#10 $214,357,154 (1st round of May 2015)

think COE of both CAT A and B will all go up...in view of the those who did not get their COE in the last round of bidding and the removal of CEVS rebate by year end and intro of VES.. cars price would increase by then 1 Jan 2018.. ... i might be wrong. Hope all get their COEs this time round

Any sightings of showroom crowds over the past week? Heard that some showrooms were quite empty, while those diesel showrooms were crowded. Hope COE drop this tone.

IMO, Cat B will be hovering about $50k+ region or potentially up $2k+- more from the 2nd March bid.

All the best for those waiting for their COE this 1st April round [:)]

K3 at 86k is a better option though

It may not be a fair comparison to compare the Kia Cerato Forte K3 L bare bone basic variant with the Cruze.

Should take the Kia Cerato Forte K3 SX ($99,000, naturally aspirated engine) to compare with the Cruze ($95,000, turbo charged engine).

The Kia Cerato Forte K3 L variant , which is also the variant ordered by Grab & Uber, lack the following features found in the more expensive SX variant.

1) No fog lamps

2) No insulation beneath bonnet

3) No sound insulation beneath wheel arch and undercarriage

4) 15" steel rims

5) Fabric seats

6) No cover for front storage comnpartment in interior

7) No interior courtesy lights above the rear view mirror

8) No LED and Daytime Running lights

9) No ventilated seats

10) No cruise control

11) No Eco and Sports Mode

12) No rear air con vent

13) Centre console hand rest cannot be adjusted

14) Rear seats don;t have hand rest in the centre

15) Non chrome interior door handles

16) Matt black wing mirrors (non painted)

17) Matt black door handles (non painted)

18) Basic sound system. No CD changer.

19) Rear drum brakes

20) No chrome in exterior and steering wheel

Photos are of basic model of Kia Cerato Forte K3 L variant.
