I visited most of the car factories in the world, enjoyed and widened by knowledge on just how far we have come in mass producing cars.

It was considerably cheap for me, no significant jetlag and no booking needed, language your choice.

Discovery Channel DVD/Blu Ray my best friend.

Factories? None at all.

Museums only BMW only cos it was a BMW trip (We did pass through Porsche Stuttgart for lunch at Christophorus, but only as a stopover).

Maybe Toyota if you count the small Odaiba museum, but that's not a true Toyota museum since it showcases other marques.

Showrooms/showcases probably a little bit more if you include tuners. BMW Welt, Toyota Megaweb, Audi Forum Tokyo, Studie Tokyo, Studie Yokohama, Mooneyes Yokohama, ASM, RWB Kansai, RWB Thailand.

Oh yes before i forget. We stopped by for lunch at Restaurant 'Christophorus' @ Porsche Museum but because it was a BMW trip, we only had a few minutes to snoop around, grabbing what we can from the shop on the way out. :P

There be some diecasts... i bought the 1:43 BOSS 924. Was hoping to find 944s but non in sight. :(

The 1:18s were made by Welly and are not really great on detail, so i didn't pick them up even though the boxes were cool.

1:43s were all pretty good quality, and the prices reflected that. Still, i HAD to at least buy 1...

I didn't have much time to ponder, so i grabbed the 924. No regrets, i think it looks great.

There were lots of period posters too. At 9.90 euros a piece, i think they were pretty reasonably priced! At least better than what i encounter on Ebay.

Didn't have time to browse through all the quality literature.

A heavy sculpture on every table at the restaurant. Probably heavy to prevent people from stealing them!

The only 944 i saw. This was at the lobby.

Stuck my head out of the car to take these on the way out.
