It's called kinotoya bake. Impeccable service though I only purchased 2 tarts each time. And it's just a small take away stall in the train station.

Must have remembered wrongly. It's been years since I last bought the jr pass. You do have to pay for the seat reservation, right?

Seat reservation is free and every time make booking at JR station ticketing office.

Bros @Lala81 and @Hamburger,  I flew ANA airline from Changi to Tokyo Haneda transit to Sapporo and back paid $879/Tax/per person. 

The rest such as travel insurance, JRPass, hotel's and rental car are arranging later via online.

We booked ANA airline tickets around last year Christmas day. 

Hotels through Agoda. Com 

JRPass through H. I. S. (Singapore Amara Hotel) 

Travel insurance through NTUC INCOME AMK

Rental car through Hokkaido car rental company.

6 day's flexible JR East - South Hokkaido Railway Pass cost 26,000 Yen. Equivalent to S$330.00. Per person.

$640 for 2 pax

that can pay more than 6 days of car rental liao

to each his own

some like the train and some like driving

it's not about the destination only

it's about the journey [thunbsup]

i know that you got train + car but i will definitely 100% car to enjoy the driving in holkaido ... not everyday you got to drive in hokkaido -- you know what i mean ...

if get a crossover it would be shiok and relaxing -- not so tired sitting high and enjoy the view
