very defensive 2nd half, but can understand the need to avoid away goal.

Still, they defended with will and focus which should be the way.

Despite the possession, City didn't even have one shot that trouble Karius.

What a result, against arguably one of the league’s in form team and the competition’s favorites.

We got a clean sheet as well, could be vital.

The atmosphere clearly drove the lads forward (at least in the 1st half).

2nd half, expectedly lost quite a bit of steam.

Salah again, but he is now injured. Doesn’t look like he will recover in 6 days time for the return leg at Etihad, much less this weekend’s game.

The tie is by no means over, but if can nick a goal or two at Etihad, it would mean they would have to put 5 or 6past us.

Now for the Merseyside derby.

With the walking wounded piling up, I think Klopp would field a weaken side and take a chance.

From JK’s interview, perhaps Salah’s injury is not as bad as feared. Keeping fingers crossed.

Also, with the yellow card, Henderson is suspended for the return leg.
