The normal car carnival is normally at Expo but this seems to be at Suntec so I think it's different?

We will expect :

 

Kids running around with balloons & slamming on car doors or car horns.

 

Tiko peks shooting their cameras like no tomorrow if there is models around.

I believe pretty much the same thing that you would see like in previous years, except this year the location is different.

I guess so too. They always say that there will be special discount and promotion. But then later realize that it's basically the same as what the car brands are offering outside the event.

It will be a good day to visit the car showrooms and test drive song song and enjoy the same deals as you get at the show. Visit the show if you want a convenient place to test sit many diff cars in shortest time and comfort.

Test sit yes but test drive think maybe not during such car show.

Not sure if these car show does affect the coe or not. Past trend seems to show that it doesn't. I would wonder if people would really have he impulse to buy a car during a car show.

I think most still believe the higher the coe the better it is to retain resale value because the cap value of retain value is higher. The fundamental flaw in this argument is the straight line depreciation is also more per year . 90K COE will be 9 k deprecaition min vs 50K COE of 5k per year?

 

But the counter argument is 90K COE agent sell 120K. 50K COE agent sell 100K...

Agree that it doesnt really affect the coe. Maybe could be the price offered at these car show is not attractive or no difference from showroom.

Just saw the exhibitors list, seems to be the smallest and most boring car show ever.

Why only like to mention about the con but not the pro?

 

The pro is that we can see more THAN 1 brand without driving around to various brand saleroom at 1 stop

Real sad.

For new cars, there are only SEAT, SangYong and a PI. Obviously not support by the big boys, why do they even bother to continue with such an event.

its like going to the road side pasar malam stores.

 

After a while, the usual handphone cover and the ramly burger will be stale.

 

In fact, my observation here is more of a "school reunion" type of event for the car dealers of other company to meet up and chit chat and network with one another.
