Good gesture. The close of an era.

Hope arsenal is able align the owner interest to more footballing endeavours.

The Special professor-sional hair dryer

Ya Arsenal are a big club and if only the owners able to loosen purse strings abit as they are a Football club after all and thus Football interests shld always be paramount Although i do understand the need to be profitable and sustainable. Actually same goes for Spurs and Newcastle for that matter.

BTW, no hair dryer inside

all important will be pool last game at home to Brighton. Win top 4.

Pool just need 3 pts in its last 2 games (Chelsea, Brighton) to secure top 4. Alternatively, if they stop Chelsea from a win at the Stamford Bridge clash, that will do it as well.

Things are still in Pool's hands. So, it needs to manage the games to get the job done.

The UCL semifinal 2nd leg is in the players' mind. The team that went out last Sat was thinking of this game... and did not play to their usual standards against a very average Stoke team.  The change in formation didn't help as Pool's midfield was largely cancelled out by the way Stoke parked its bus.

The touching message inscribed on Manchester United's parting gift to Arsenal boss Arsene Wenger

Arsene Wenger was treated to a warm reception by old rival Sir Alex Ferguson on his last trip to Old Trafford as Arsenal boss.

The Frenchman has enjoyed a long and fraught relationship with Manchester United since his arrival in English football 22 years ago, ruffling plenty of feathers and embracing the role of irritant and adversary.

But having announced his departure at the end of the season there was a show of respect, led by his long-term foe Ferguson.

Wenger was afforded a round of applause from the home support as he walked from tunnel to dugout, and he then posed with Ferguson as the Scot presented him with a silver vase.

The gift was inscribed with a message which read: "Presented to Arsene Wenger by Sir Alex Ferguson CBE and Jose Mourinho on behalf of Manchester United Football Club, in recognition of his service to and achievements at Arsenal Football Club 1996 – 2018."

Current United manager Mourinho, who has also had a rocky relationship with Wenger, stepped in to shake his hand and shared a few words with his opposite number before kick-off.

Mo Salah wins Football Writers Footballer of the Year award to go with his PFA POTY award so he follows Kante in getting both the individual awards in the same season.

De Bruyne n Kane came in 2nd n 3rd which mirrored the PFA award as well.

Zeljko Buvac to become next Arsenal Mgr?

Klopp’s assistant who left his role suddenly is the bookies 2nd favourite to become Gunner’s next boss. Strange appointment if true.

Wow, what development...

If it happens, then it shows the pulling power of Buvac. From an asst mgr to managing one of the traditional big teams in BPL... That would be quite unheard of.

And if so, wonder why they fall out? Should be happy for him mah. Then again, also no need to discuss this now right? Can wait until last game is over first, then won't have such distractions/rumours, etc...

Somehow, I have some doubts on this news but stranger things have happened in football so let's see.

If he were to takeover a mid table team like Newcastle. Leicester etc that would definitely be possible but top 6 team, I think unlikely.

Yah lor. I would also be very surprised if Gunners were to go for someone who has not been a full manager before, given the expectations of the fans. There are many proven managers in the market now, and we're not even talking about luring those still under contract. Surely they can find someone that is good/willing...

Then again, bookies are not stupid. His odds are a really short 2/1 at Betfair.

Think even I would be willing to give longer odds [:)]

On a serious note, Ancelotti and Tuchel are free agents.

Allegri, Simeone, Jardim, Low and a few others admittedly are tied up but can be lured so don't see how come Gunners want to lure him but maybe he can be a no.2 at Emirates as well? But it would be strange if he swops Anfield no.2 role to similar role at Gunners.

On a separate note, seems Italy National team will announce Roberto Mancini as the new Mgr.

Back then when ah seng was appointed nobody knows who the f was wanker leh...

Its a gamble well paid off over and over again.

Of coz times r diff now. Arsenal is even a bigger club now and expectations are always gonna be high.... fans no doubt will like a big name manager... they may not have the patience to see an unknown u proven manager liao.

Last time spurs appoint christian gross... so unknowm he tame subway to spurs and nobody knows who the f he was and after a year he was rightfully sacked.... fans dun like him at all.

Not too long ago david moyes also tasked to replace alex and failed too.

Now, what you said about the bookies is very true. They dun anyhow give/cut odds one. So maybe there really is something brewing...

If it's not a step up, i doubt he'll leave his BFF lah. No logic for him to go elsewhere and do the same thing.

Apart from Mancini, there's also news that Gerrard is looking at becoming Rangers Mgr. Klopp has said that the whole Pool will support and not stop him.

Maybe Buvac was hoping the same for himself, but got different treatment, so fell out? ===> this is how gossip/rumour start [laugh]

But ah seng at least was a full manager in J league liao mah...

The thing is now Buvac is not even a full manager yet leh.
