ya is Gahmen road. They can do. KPKB to LTA lo. LTA will come down draw double yellow. everyone no more parking.

Why don't just complain and suggest that LTA draw parking lots instead? So that they can have season parking. Previously my estate have people write in for them to draw parking lots so now there is a row of parking lots outside the private houses there.

then the residents will have to pay for season parking when they dont need to pay a single cent now.

Everyone loses but gov wins by collecting season money.

But less outsiders will park there. The house owners can always park in their houses ma. Most houses can park at least 2 cars inside. Unless the owners decided they prefer to use the space for other stuff then complain that they got no parking lo.

Toyota Prius hybrid no longer exempt from London Congestion Charge

http://www.autoexpress.co.uk/car-news/102546/toyota-prius-hybrid-no-longer-exempt-from-london-congestion-charge

The rise has come because Toyota is switching the measure it uses to gauge the Prius’ CO2 levels from NEDC to NEDC-equivalent; the latter test was designed to precede the switch from NEDC to new WLTP testing criteria in 2019, and is considered a halfway house between the two measures.

This one is real DUMB! Crashing own car just to chase away birds...

Guy Records Himself Crashing While Trying To Run Over Some Birds

Some people really hate birds. One guy hated birds so much, he decided to record himself driving his car at some birds in a parking lot for Snapchat. It did not end well for him.

And let not forget that he had also committed another unsafe act (a traffic offence in many places): Using mobile phone while driving... [rifle]  [rifle]

Police: Man drove stolen car to court for stolen car charge

HARTFORD, Conn. — Police say a man answering to a stolen car charge drove a stolen car to court in Connecticut.

Authorities say 25-year-old Jonathan Rivera was at the Hartford Superior Court on Wednesday to appear before a judge on a charge of first-degree larceny and tampering with a motor vehicle from February.

Parking authority agents scanning license plates outside the courthouse found a car that had been reported stolen.

Police kept an eye on the car, and they arrested Rivera when he got inside and tried to drive away.

Rivera has been charged with second-degree larceny and taking a motor vehicle without the owner’s permission.

It’s unclear if he has a lawyer.

(background story - last week they said motorists are not allowed to listen to music while driving)

http://www.thejakartapost.com/news/2018/03/04/listening-to-music-is-fine-but-police-to-ban-phone-use-while-driving.html

"After canceling the controversial plan to fine motorists listening to music or smoking while driving, the Jakarta Police’s traffic division chief Sr. Comr. Halim Pagarra said on Sunday the police would instead crack down on drivers using their cell phones.

Halim said the practise violated Article 106 of the Traffic Law, which says anyone driving a motorized vehicle must do so with full care and concentration.

He said, as quoted by kompas.com, that enforcement would apply to online ojek (motorcycle taxi) drivers who often use cell phones while driving to check their maps.

Halim’s subordinate, Adj. Sr. Comr. Budiyanto said last week that a survey showed listening to music and smoking a cigarette could break concentration and said the Jakarta Police would start disseminating information about fining those listening to music. His statement caused uproar among the many motorists who listen to the radio and music while driving.

The following day, the National Police’s director of law enforcement at the Traffic Corps, Brig. Gen. Pujiono Dulrahman, said as quoted by kompas.com that listening to the music and smoking while driving were allowed.

“Our interpretation of [Article 106] includes being tired, sick, sleepy, using cellphones or watching TV while driving,” he said.

Jakarta Police spokesperson Sr. Comr. Argo Yuwono reiterated Pujiono’s statement, saying they had no plans to fine those listening to music or smoking. “The wrong thing to do is smoking and throwing lit cigarettes at other drivers,” he said. (evi)"

http://www.thejakartapost.com/news/2018/03/02/listening-to-music-while-driving-violates-the-law-traffic-chief.html

Residents are perplexed by the Jakarta Police’s traffic division statement that listening to music while driving violates traffic laws.

Article 106 of Law No. 22/2009 on traffic and land transportation stipulates that motorists must drive with full concentration.

“Listening to the radio, watching television and smoking cigarettes while driving are violations of the law,” Traffic unit chief Adj. Sr. Comr. Budiyanto said, adding that violators were subject to three months in jail and up to a Rp 750,000 (US$54.5) in fine.

The traffic chief said that they had yet to give tickets to motorists violating the law because the police were disseminating the information to the public.

73-Year-Old Shows How Not To Park A Porsche 911 Targa 4S

https://carbuzz.com/news/73-year-old-shows-how-not-to-park-a-porsche-911-targa-4s

The Porsche 911 Targa 4S ploughed through a brick wall before landing nose first in a pedestrian overpass.

We’re used to seeing inexperienced drivers wrecking exotic cars, but in this case the accident wasn’t caused by an over confident man or woman in their teens or 20s, but a 73-year old elderly gentleman. The car casualty? A Porsche 911 Targa 4S. No, it’s nowhere near as powerful as, say, a 911 Turbo or GT2 RS, but it still needs to be handled with care. According to the BBC, the driver was trying to park the sports car, when they somehow ploughed through a brick wall.

The car then landed nose first in a pedestrian overpass and was left perched against a wall almost vertically. As you can see from the photos posted by The Sun, it’s probably not the best way to park a Porsche 911. The accident took place in Colchester, UK. Exactly what caused the crash is unknown, but one possible explanation is that the elderly driver may have confused the brake with the accelerator, which isn’t uncommon. Luckily, neither the driver or any pedestrians were injured, but the 73-year old will be offered to take a "fitness to drive" course. The 911 Targa 4S didn’t fare quite as well however, suffering damage to the bodywork and smashed windows.

But considering it smashed into brick wall and crashed down an overpass, the damage could have been a lot worse and the structure appears to have survived the impact remarkably well. Powering the Porsche 911 Targa 4S is a twin-turbo 3.0-liter six-cylinder engine that produces 420 horsepower and 368 lb-ft of torque, paired to either a seven-speed manual transmission or an optional seven-speed PDK gearbox. The latter setup allows all-wheel drive model can accelerate from 0-62 mph in 4.0 seconds before hitting a top speed of 187 mph. Prices start at $124,300.

Crashed McLaren 720 found abandoned in Las Vegas Desert by police

https://ww.motor1.com/news/242062/mclaren-720-s-bad-crash/

maxresdefault.jpg

Here’s your public service announcement of the day: Don’t speed on public roads. Time and time again, we see people driving excessively on public roads before things go terribly wrong. Not only do you put your life in danger, but also the lives of your occupants and those sharing the road with you. The McLaren 720S flung off into the desert in the above video appears to be the only vehicle involved in the accident, which sent the supercar far off into the Nevada desert. The video, from DailyDrivenExotics, shows the aftermath of the nasty crash.

Whoever was driving the McLaren had to have been booking it through the desert. From what the video shows, the McLaren plowed through a turn in the highway, cutting into the opposite lane before heading off the road. Somehow, the driver managed to avoid sending the car down a deep ravine that laid just off the road, barely skirting the edge. The wheel, along with the carbon-ceramic brake, ended up in the ravine far away from the car.

The McLaren is totaled. It looks like the supercar rolled several times considering the amount of debris strewn across the desert. The entire rear of the car is destroyed with the body panels missing. The driver door looks unscathed, but the passenger side is the worst. The roof is crushed in and the door sheared off its hinges. Inside, the roof appears crushed into the top of the passenger seat, which could have been deadly if the passenger was on the taller side. There’s dirt everywhere. The front of the car is the least destroyed – but considering the overall damage, it’s still not good.

According to the video, when police arrived, they found the car abandoned without the occupants gone. However, it appears they found their way to a local hospital with non-life-threatening injuries – scrapes and bruises.

This accident could have been much worse. If the car would have fallen down the ravine, a passerby on the road may not have seen the car at all. The two could have been trapped without the ability to call for help. This is a reminder to take your high-speed antics to the track. Something bad could happen.
