LCR had the case with their PI. I don't think the used car markert absorbed 500-1000 Prius/Altis. CD has less drivers and should also have a lot of cars lying around. They are better off scrapping and return the COE to us  [thumbsup]

they wont be scrapping these cars..

scrap in 2 years, they only get back 80% of the COE. (let say COE is 50k, they get back 40K).

let say for those hybrid cars, their parf rebate is only 2.5k to 3K... so they get back around 43K?

even if those normal mazda 3 or Vios, their ARF is around 15K... so parf is 75% of ARF paid, so around 11K + 40K coe rebate, is around 50K++..

so they would rather to try to sell away..

Any experts here? COE will continue to rise no matter the odds?

Are you sure you want to buy? Maintenance/realiability will be a huge concern.

COE those days was also much higher. You are depreciating the higher COE for them

Think u made a point. I am thinking if they have thousands of cars to get rid of, price could be lower. Mileage wise will have to see though...

mostly from Uber because they expand too fast. Grab does not have this problem, at least not so big problem.

I check around sgcarmart used car section, unable to find 4,000 <2year old cars like Vezel, Mazda 3, Prius on sale.

Think selling batch by batch ba.

1 year 8 mths car...the mileage is 128K!

If dealer buy over sure tamper with the mileage.

Beware of all those cars used as Uber cars.

Uber very clever

Because if later the tamper kena find out, uber will say they never do

Don't believe, see sgcarmart, 名人不做暗事

Black ops things better leave it to

Mileage like the others have mentioned will for sure be adjusted for resale later on. Which dealer in his right mind will sell a 1year old car with 120k km.

Hard to tell if they are being tampered so if people totally avoid, the used car market for these 2015-2016 cars will have very bad resale value.

- Toyota Corolla Altis

- Toyota Prius

- Honda Vezel

- Mit Attrage

- Any other cars to avoid?

It is interesting to observe the movement of the next few coe bidding, as increasing amount of phv are released for sales.

And I doubt UBER and GRAB will be bidding for more COEs.

LTA should Ensure that their PHV sticker should stay with car compulsory until register with new pte owner who willing to buy over the high mileage car, not fair to allow remove sticker by dealer, then they adjust mileage and cheat buyer. CASE will not help you anyway.

Be prepared the next round insurance cost will increase across the board Bezos of massive phv claims, better buy insurance in advance see if can lock-in for the next 3-5 years upfront, hedging
