How about Facebook and Instagram? My daughter using this 2.

Traveling Dec to Shanghai and Hangzhou.

2 yrs ago visit Shanghai and Beijing, bought a local SIM for data. Basically cannot access Facebook, Instagram.

This time decide just enable data roam from Singtel.

Use overseas Sim card (example. From hongkong)

Will be able to access Facebook and twitter, Google etc

If u need, pm me. I have . Free.

Not too many places for DVDs and music..

I only found this place:

王府井新华书店

 

It's a huge place for books, and has a nice section for CDs, and for those into old 60s China movies, it has a large collection.

Wow, desert with below 8 C temp and yellow river next to it is really something different. I wouldn't say it is very scenic as compared to many parts of China but definitely something quite different. Sharing some photos taken, hope TS don't mind
