Yeah , I need to cut a panel as big as my kitchen window, cut a square hole out in the top to place a big exhaust fan... my kitchen is darn hot! Hot air can’t escape

 

For kitchen, you may want to consider polycarbonate sheet. More expensive than acrylic but won't turn yellow after sun and heat exposure.

square or rectangular blocks will be normal per sheet price ... but once you need to cut a little bit of pattern, the price will go up 4-5 times !!

 

so i ordered the rectangular sheet based on outer dims and then brought home and used a jigsaw to cut the corners myself ... not nice but still got the job done.
