Hi,

Just bought a used Peugeot 308 (8 years old) and realized the steering wheel is very heavy especially when parking.

It’s so bad that my arms ache after reversing into a lot.

Any idea why it’s like that?

Power Steering pump leak.

Check the reservoir to see how much left. Top up and monitor. If level goes down fast, bring for repair

Bro same model as your ride.

If you are used to the jap cars steering weight this would seem a lot heavier and takes some getting used to,

I have a Camry and a Pug and everytime I switch over I always feel it takes relatively more effort on parking.

You will get used to it

First of all, please confirm is it power steering car? If no then need to change the steering. If yes, then need to check the steering pump leakage from good mechanic.

These days still got no power steering cars?

Is it your tyres no air?
