if i am confident that my kids is so capable and independent, why would i worry about how they cope with housing or financial problem?

 

i am now thinking of how to kick them out of the house when they turn 25

HDBs in SG are built with excessive safety factors for design, and general material quality and workmanship are ok as well. no longer like those older buildings like Hotel New World etc...

Next gen, BTO 100k. ...even more expensive, but they too work hard and overcome it.

 

Next gen, BTO 200k......people think is crazy, but somehow most went through it and still manage to pay off.

 

Our younger generation now, BTO 400K......I believe they too will find their ways.

 

Don't worry about next gen,  they will get it sorted out just like every previous gen before them.

These days if our own kids can fend for themselves with their own salary and they don't borrow money frm you is considered very good. I don't expect them to give me money even when I am old as living expenses in S'pore will sky rocket when they are working adults.

 

I heave learnt this so that I will not be disappointed when they don't give me pocket money. If they give, it is a bonus and I will accept graciously.
