Both tick the most boxes for me so i'm split between the 2.

Interior space is impt for me but the gap between the 2 is quite minimal, Tucson is slightly wider & no transmission hump at rear but feels shortchanged with 2 airbags.

Ride comfort & NVH levels also impt to me & it seems Tucson is a more comfy/quieter ride, although the forester's handling is better (sharper)

Would like some feedbacks about service centre for both makes as well.

Have short-listed these 2 and would like some comments on both models.

Forester for good handling with better safety rating

Tucson for better interior space & updated looks/design

Have you test driven both?

Which one did you like sitting in

and driving better?

That's the one you should buy.

If both also same to you then you are a very lucky man.

Cos it means only one thing.

You can buy the cheaper one.  [thumbsup]

Am driving the 2L tucson for 2 years now. It is a reliable and comfortable family SubCompac SUV. The

ride is good , taking on humps without hassle. With traction control ON, it can tackle twisty roads.

I ride on ECO mode daily with fuel consumption at 9L/100km. Full tank 95 ron is about $100.

The only gripe is the engine is 2L MPI with normal 6 speed auto. This gives it a sedate composure.

If you are more enthusiatic, I would urge you to get the Tucson with 1.6 T with Dual Clutch.

I am getting the Kona for my son. Reason being its fuel efficient and 1.0 T manual. He likes

the ride. Maybe you can test drive too.

Choose anything with a conventional planetary gb, won't go wrong. Avoid anything with a dual clutch gb.

Forester look more old fashion design, big and boxy. But performance is good.

Tucson is more modern and stylish. Performance cannot match Subaru.

Did you test drive both..?

I drove the previous generation Tucson for 10 years and was completely happy with it. Went down to Comical Motors and liked the new model. Was planning to buy it, but its a big purchasing decision so went and test drove the rivals, just as a due diligence exercise...

Long story short, they are chalk and cheese. The Tucson is just a comfortable way to get from A to B but the Forester is actually FUN to drive. YMMV but I am now 2 years into my Forester ownership and much prefer it over my previous Tucson...
