Hi is it wise to consider PI cars as budget cars? They are $10k-20k cheaper than authorized dealers

BMW can fall into budget Car as it is -50k to 70k cheaper than normal price at performance

This thread is about sub 100k budget car, if you can find a BMW that is below 100k, then it is a bduget car.

But if a 300k car is cheaper by 50k from PI, then no, it is noyt a budget car by the standard of this thread but it is a bduget car to the rich.

Realistically speaking, the jazz 1.3, u have to take the 81999 option cos the list of equipment differences is significant. I doubt anyone will opt for the 79999 option.

Seat definitely seems to have some value proposition if u aren't afraid of VAG cars lol.

Two weeks ago,I went to KM.

The sales said if you take a loan,he could deduct $500,and if you forgo the 2 yr extra servicing, another 1 k off.

So total is about $80499.

The K3 or Elantra are both pretty decent cars with an attractive price tag.

K3...I don't really think so.

Very outdated like the accent.

I think at that price range, i recommend Subaru Impreza or XV if you have the money

Just a qn, how's the i30.

Would the dct cause any issues in the long run?

The 10k VES they collect makes it 91k for base for July registration.

I don't think it's worth it at that price.

Attrrage still so expensive after COE drop?

Well, certainly they tried.

They dropped to 63999 last bidding, raised it to 65999 last week and dropped to 63999 yesterday.

Yup..... scrapped long ago. Haha. Now a happy owner of the new Fit.

Though I would have loved it in MT.

Auto not really my cup of tea..

it would be better to state the range of budget

1. <80k

2. <100k

3. <120k

best budget car is to renew COE of a low mileage fit for 10 years. Most of the FIT should be getting to their 10 years this few months. Their take back value is probably in the range below 10k , i am only getting back 7k.

I am probably going to renew it when COE drops if not just renew 5years. 7k for the first year depreciation is still lower than getting a new car at 70k.

If it go up lorry , just dereg and get back the rest.

For budget set for 2 and 3, one could easily get a 2.5-3yrs old luxury entry level to mid range model.

Hence for me, I rather go for the an used luxury.

Renew COE will be an option nowadays. With 5years avg 20K or less, one can easily paid in full and loan free in driivng a ride.

But rest assured maintenance will come on and off to eaten up your money in another form.
