DAP recommendation

This is probably going to be a cold topic, but anyone still using Digital audio player? Currently I have the ipod 5g, classic and nano. 5g kinda died with poor battery life, classic put in car and nano as a travel/jogging companion. The nano is really crappy so thinking of switching to one of the below:

FiiO x3 m3

Sony NW A45

https://www.cnet.com/products/sony-walkman-nw-a45-digital-player-nwa45b/specs/

Any feedback or recommendation are welcome.

I do applaud Apple for their ipods. My 5g is 13 years and classic is 10. While the battery on the 5g died, my classic is still working fine. Been using it for almost everyday for the past 10 years. Hopefully my next purchase can last as long. And before anyone comment on using handphone, I have a v30+ with 128gb sd card. While it is good, I think a dedicated player can be better.

New handphones have really good sound chips inside them now.

But if you want a better sound add an amp.

I used to use the Fiio E6 but now hardly use it as my phone can

drive my headphones really well.

Turbocharged

Thanks, but A&K and questyle are way out of my budget right now. Heck, even the FiiO x5 is abit too much for me.

Like that you specify budget and desired features easier to give recommendations lar.

Budget is indicated in the 2 units i mentioned above. Around 500 bucks. Music player not much feature to talk about but ui and library generation must be smooth. Ive tried the x3 and ui can be quite laggy sometimes. Which is why im looking at the sony.

Is is worthwhile getting a separate DAP?

My phone is always with me all my favorite songs are inside.

No need the hassle of carrying a second device,

The headphone is the most important and money should be spent here.

Lastly what kind of music are you listening to? I only listen to MP3 as I cannot

tell the difference between MP3 and HD. Saves me lots of money really as no

need to buy the HD player or the software.
