Nissan New Serena e-POWER Transmission

The new Serena e-POWER does not have a transmission.

It is 100% electric motor drive, and smooth acceleration starts from the moment you step on the pedal.

In addition, the new Serena e-POWER is equipped with "e-POWER Drive" which can control the acceleration / deceleration at will by operation only with the accelerator pedal, and it is greatly helping to reduce the burden on the driver.

This is the same setup as the Nissan Note e-power on sale through hevshop.com.

https://www.hevshop.com/single-post/2017/05/30/Nissans-Note-E-power-provides-an-exhilarating-experience-for-drivers

Nissan Serena e-power has slightly bigger battery and 320Nm of torque.

The 1.2L engine only acts as a generator to charge the battery and does not drive the wheels.

Nissan calls this e-power. It can be called a series hybrid or petrol generator electric car.

I wouldn't call this hybrid.  Rather, it is an EV with range extender.

The engine is supposed to be for emergency when you run out of juice.

Primarily, the car should be charged with wall socket.

This car is not coming to Singapore anymore bcos of the new E6 criteria for emissions

It is a matter of the discount or surcharge from VES as determined by the local emission test result.
