This trend is slowly catching up in Singapore, but seems a little slow. Do you think Singaporeans will be switching to SUVs? Will you switch?

It's getting to be a trend here.

Just look at the sales of those mid sized sedans here.

For B&B range the cost for crossover/suv is still higher than sedan, hence unlikely will be surpassed sedan.

outskirt areas of some countries are having more undulating roads, city roads having too many potholes, frequent flood whint the city areas which make SUV a more practical choice.

My friend wants to buy a sedan, but was concerned that the demand/trend might swing to SUV by the time he wants to sell, making selling the sedan difficult without incurring much loss. I see more and more of reasonably priced SUV on the road, like Nissan Qashqai, Opel Moka X, Vezel etc.

Most SUV drivers say once they sit “high”, they won’t want to go back “down”. Any SUV owners here agree?

Your friend is such a worrier. Tell him to loosen up lah.

I had a Crossroad SUV once. I went back to sedans.

I do shift between a CUV and very very low sedan fewer times in a week. No issues.

As I grow old, I need a car which is easy to get in and out. Too low will have problem haha...

Haha this one I agree with u. Since I got a higher car, found saloons rather low for me to get in n out but then again it has its trade offs as lower cars better at cornering.

It's a sign that u need to get some exercise to strengthen your back muscle.

This is a serious suggestion

I will consider a SUV when I retire,
next time when I cannot bend my back anymore,
and also old man drive very slow, no need to worry about the SUV flipping over while cornering.

Now seems like more SUV than sedan on road.

Few year back I told myself I will never buy MPV and unlikely will buy SUV.

But then with kids coming into life.
I thought getting a SUV will be safer particularly if going for long road trip to Malaysia. More practical and greater boot space.

Will I change to sedan after kids grown older? Not sure.

If want high driving position a van will also fit the bill.

But with aged parent. Likely will maintain the next one as SUV too for practicality and ease of access.
