Wondering for roughly around the price range of 150-170k what type of semi sporty sedan could one get?

Some of the basic criteria as

Decent 0-100 around 7-8sec(or better)

RWD if possible.

Here is my short list. Prices are rough estimates based on post in the forum or advertisements.

1. Infiniti Q50,152k

2. Kia stinger 158k

3. Alfa Giulia 170k

4. Jaguar XE 153k

Sort of ruled out based on price or performance the following,

Mercedes C, maybe 170k can’t even buy the base c180, it’s too slow anyway and same goes for the base BMW 3.

Lexus IS300(200t) is over priced at 180k.

Of the list of 1-4 above, only the stinger or Giulia seems somewhat exciting.

Have I left out any others which should one should look at?

from the 4 on your list, I would pick Giulia.

Yeah good choice.

16.6 km/l will save a lot of money on fuel.

:D

All the cars in the list are sporty but this car

is so fuel efficient it will save the planet.

The more you drive the more fuel you will

save.  [thumbsup]

Twincharged
(edited)

Just dropped by Kia. Stinger is nice. Lots of kit for the price. Electric Power this and that. Lumbar support. But the saleswoman that served me was crap. I wanted to test but didn’t want to get lock into her. So I beat a hasty retreat.

Will head over to alfa

I think I will go for the stinger, good price, great performance (on paper anyway), tons of kit and initial positive reviews.

For <$170K, for PERFORMANCE only, in that price range:

Subaru WRX STI (2.5L Flat-4, AWD) 296bhp/407Nm, MANUAL

KIA Stinger (2.0L IL-4, RWD) 244bhp/353Nm, AUTO

Performance, performance, performance ... all for <$170K:

I’d go for the more-powerful engine, with manual tranny

You’re not gonna marry her right?

But but seriously,

“Lock into her” ... or get locked inside the car with her?

Bro, Giulia is 180-ish. The base at 170 is more bare vibes than the A4.

I'd consider Stinger and Giulia.

Or if u wanna buy my 16 mth old IS Turbo with lots of goodies (10k ICE, Rays rims, carbon steering and spoiler, RSR springs etc) at 150k (56k COE), I will go buy the Giulia or Stinger

Supercharged

Why not Mini Cooper S Clubman? Perfect fit for your needs.

it's not a sedan, and it's not RWD

This LOL.... there isnt a tad of "sport" except the exterior styling trying very hard to...

Acceleration 13.4s (0-100 km/h)

Acceleration is around 7 secs. Using the same engine as Lexus IS200T. and Its RWD.
