""Car COEs have taken the biggest hit, with a 7.9 percent monthly quota fall from 2,779 to 2,559.""

Now, this is what we can say significant reduction. it may push car coe upwards

I always see when quota drop, ppls will say dont worry or insignificant. There should be a lower limit, right?

Good! Very positive thinking.

So when does the fear being then?

COE is the only effective means to control car population.

What we need is bidding via SingPass for all CAT except OPEN.

Coe quota control car population, not the high coe pricing

or it may not?  what happens when demand is low as coe cars are renewed?  May Cat B pqp rate is $38,712, a huge dip from 52k as recent as Dec 2017.

Some buyers are probably buying the UG cars.

maybe for the marginal buyers who can get a better loan offering outside rather than the 70%

come July even more right? given that the 1 year license free interim period for PHV will be over and not many have their license yet.

After July, 1.2L type Cars will be cheaper due to neutral VES or 10K rebate

Almost all other cars maybe kena 10K or 20K surcharge. Even COE down still need to pay the same price (80K to 100K for different B&B cars)

Want cheap must drive underpowered   -_- ,  good for those who just need a decent transport, however, all other costs to own car remain same (parking, erp, fuel, interest, insurance etc)

Garment win win even COE down.  VES no need to return also like COE if deregister.
