[Random] Is your driving style two-faced?

 Share

Recommended Posts

Does your CO or MIL (or parents lol) always nag you for reckless driving? Even though you feel like it's too slow for you / you are in complete control always / you cut in and out of lanes safely? Liddat how? Do you just wayang when driving with them and unleash when solo?

p.s. also applies to vice versa i.e. you feel that you are safe driver but CO complain you drive too slow

Just a lighthearted post not meant to start any heated debates or flame wars. Hope you enjoyed your labour day! peace out  [:p]

I am not two faced but sometimes, the passenger in my car influences my driving.

For example if it is a person who always nag at me for speeding even a little bit I tend to be very careful.

If it's a friend who don't have unnecessary comments I am relaxed and natural. If I have a friend who keep making unnecessary remarks, i tend to get lost......

If it's someone who keep asking me to go faster, that person probably won't be in my car often.

If I am alone I am most relaxed.

Don't if that answers your question.

bro Philipkee I think you summed it up better than I did.. "does the passenger influence your driving?"

haha what do you mean you tend to get lost?

Used to be a little like Philipkee but now no longer get influenced by people. Maybe cause recently hitch people and getting used to it.

Well, I know quite a lot of 2 faced drivers who at SG is like James May then cross the causeway becomes Jeremy Clarkson (minus the skills).

When I have a friend who keep making comments like your car too fast, too slow, and talk non stop about the speed and give vague directions, I can miss the junction.

Example he tell me to go straight until he say turn left (this was in malaysia). He will talk non stop so I keep in centre Lane then suddenly he say "turn left now". I was like wtf and we missed the junction. I heard that's how Malaysians give directions. At last minute.

Or I got a friend who will tell me juicy stories. So juicy until I forgot to turn off at the expressway. End up drive and drive until story finish. Hahaha hahaha

I have to choose my passengers also. I don't grab Hitch. All these are my friends. Just that some are better passengers.

Whenever I pick up my MIL, she will always sit in front as my wife is attending to kids at the back. My MIL will be holding on the the handle bar at the top as if I was going to crash. Always fidgeting and "helping me step on the brakes" even when I'm going at 60km/h. I used to be very conscious about it but got used to it already and heck care liao.

Few years ago when I had to attend a meeting and my then idiot boss whom I can’t stand asked me for a lift.

After the drive, he asked “do u always drive like that?” Then, after that, he never asked for a lift again.... and always drove separately even if we we’re attending the same meeting
