Looks like those who renewed in 2015-2016 will start to scrap their cars soon, at the rate coe are falling.

Might not be bro.... it boils down to the price of the new cars (after VES surcharge)... also remeber those who bought their cars 10yrs ago had their COE less than 20k (toyoya altis at 60k not 100k)... They will consider renew their COE 5 or 10 yrs instead.

Elantra now is buy 1 free 1 if base on Nov 2013 pricelist

Elantra elite 2013 omv close to 20k.With tax is 47k base.

Elantra elite 2018 omv 12k.With tax is 28.2k base.

Very interesting.

For cat a cars in netural banding, i wonder if the selling price will drop or remains(ad margin higher)

I believe will adjust in the range of $5k+-. From this drastic Cat A drop can see the demand is not there and dealers in fact are accumulating Cat E instead.

When COE is low, should consider buying new la.

The reason why most ppl choose to renew is bcos COE is high and hence new car very exp.

I'm just doing a quick comparison on overall car pricing. There will never be a fair comparison. There are other factors to consider like new policy, market demand, new models, VES, whatever taxes etc. Would one prefer to buy a Elantra at $150k or prefer to buy now at $70+k.

This shows that UBER was the cb that screw up last year COE prices for everyone

cb USA company use other people money and mess with everyday Singaporean living costs

then now withdraw from the market, sibeh KNN

Cat A at 25k, i wonder how much lower it will go. This almost s 50% drop in cat a since feb2017 when I bought my new car.

So this weekend, there will be lots of promotion especially modes like Kia k3 and Elantra .

Like i said maynot be bro, if you only need a car from point A to point B... new or old doesn't matter.

If should see COE renewal picking up in the next few months, it justify the point. So when it does, VES implementation actually back fired with more aging cars on the road.

don't expect the price to drop by $9,000

because there definitely will be a rebound in the next bid
