TP question regarding green arrow for a newbie

i have 1 TP question to ask, (i cannot create thread, due to 10 post requirement)

mod please shift to new thread if needed, please do not delete

 

during TP, at junction traffic light green, turning left, must stop at white line? or only slow down?

cause i scare, if i stop completely = deduct point, slow down traffic behind

if i don't stop = reckless driving? must stop till 0 km/h or what?

If green light and no pedestrian crossing the road, just turn left no need stop.

 

If got pedestrian crossing, of course stop.

 

But if it’s PMD crossing, ram them down...haha.

green light in your favor and turning left, no need stop, just slow down and watch out for any one crossing the road.  But if red light, please stop BEHIND the white line.

whether go straight or turn left, the same rules apply, the stop line is only when it's red. No need to stop for this case

AFAIK,  controlled junction follow the control ( e.g. traffic lights,  TP, etc ).  Non-controlled junction must stop. 

I recall someone challenge by asking why never stop at stop line at zebra crossing. 

 

P.S.   In reality, can be different one.  Please check behind for traffic conditions.

From my understanding, for such stop line.

 

1) if there is no traffic light, for example exit of carparks, then MUST stop completely before proceeding to go straight or turn.

 

2) if there is a traffic light at the stop line in the vehicle favour, then can zoom pass the white line without stopping or slowing down. But if need to turn, and there is a traffic crossing after the turn, then must practice caution driving.

I think you only need to stop before the line when there's a "STOP" sign. Since this is a traffic junction you just follow the lights.

No traffic light, must stop before proceeding. If controlled by traffic light then follow the traffic lights.

Controlled junction with traffic lights just proceed but with caution since some pedestrians may suddenly come out of nowhere.

Uncontrolled junction probably just stop a while to check before you proceed.
