going to start physio next week at nuh sport clinic, probably just a few sessions then opt for self exercise at home.

last night was another painful night, only manage to catch some sleep after 3am [sweatdrop]

tried infra lamp before at SGH for my old injury, yah useless one [laugh]

Great. I believe in the exercises that physiotherapy teaches. But the not frequency of the sessions they prescribe. Ya, go there and learn their exercises than do it yourself more frequent at home.

In fact, muscle strengthening of core muscles, posterior chain is important if you want to age with less of these lau nang chronic problems.

Getting old already. Recently I also kenna between shoulder and neck, cannot check blind spot! Luckily I have blind spot mirror. Last time got this, last 3-4 days. Latest one at mid 30s last more than 1 week.

I think to prevent all these need to sit at the computer table less and move around more. Warm ups and light exercise in the morning.

Higher risk of heart attacks and stroke in the morning for most people with a normal circadian rhythm.

While waking up early to exercise is a great habit, i won't really push myself in the mornings.

light exercise to start the day at most. Save the heavier exertion for the evenings.

This will save you.

Use this to comb your neck to shoulder.

Then the arm muscles.

But got inflame, do comb. Anyway, you pain till die if you comb over an inflame area.

The idea is to loosen the muscles at your neck and shoulder.

Do this after your physio treatment. More for maintenance.

Where to buy?

I bought from 仕林夜市. The only place I know got sell.

:D

now i see why this thing is useful, the pain is one thing, but the muscle around the area is slowly becoming more stiff like 'dead meat'  i can only use my knuckle to rub against those affected area to loosen the stiffness, it really help.

But certain part cannot reach  [laugh]

Yes. You got the concept right.

I some time use iphone to massage. The smooth curve will not hurt the skin.

Sharing my past episode of frozen RT shoulder. About 10 yrs ago, pain only totally gone after 2 yrs.

It began insidiously. Being a right handed, too much exertion in carrying heavy stuffs taken its toll.

Pain & ache in RT shoulder, thought it was just temporary but intensified accompanied by stiffness & weakness in arm down to elbow. Could not rotate my arm to brush teeth, comb hair, etc...

Ortho Specialist Dr injected a cocktail of painkiller & steroid. But I turned Red like a cooked Lobster the following day, in reaction to the drugs!

Was prescribed oral painkillers & later, Physiotherapy.

Pain didn't go away. Spread up to back of Rt shoulder & neck. By then, my whole arm could not rotate properly to do normal daily tasks & felt that I was walking a bit lopsided. :(

Someone recommended a TCM who performed Acupuncture (needles attached to electric currents) weekly for 2 mths. No improvement.

In the end, self treatment at home, bought an infrared lamp & a microwaveable bean bag.

Use Infrared lamp to warm & relax shoulder area before commencing on a series of stretching movements. Repeat this a few times daily when possible.

Bedtime, placed heated bean bag under shoulder to sleep.

There is no shortcut to healing, injured muscles, tendon or ligament need time to self repair & heal. Meanwhile, carry out light movements to prevent stiffening of joints & maintain some muscle tone. Do not carry heavy stuffs.

thanks for your scary experience and now you make me very worried   [laugh]  [laugh]

2 years is too long to bear, i am not sure if i will go nuts or not. Not lifting heavy stuffs is difficult to avoid, household work, shopping, travelling all need to carry things, heavy or not. Usually you will forget about the pain and do what needs to be done.

The length of time taken to heal was due to not adhering to complete rest. Each time when no pain, naturally lifted heavy stuffs or overworked that shoulder again.

Must start to use more of your non dominant arm, learn to spread loads or carry with both arms instead of just one. People around, especially family members gotta lend their hands in chores & loads.
