The details of the September 2018 first open bidding exercise for Certificates of Entitlement (COEs) are as follows:

 

Tender opens: Monday, 3 September 2018, 12 noon

Tender closes: Wednesday, 5 September 2018, 4.00 pm

Tender results: Wednesday, 5 September 2018 (Available on the www.onemotoring.com.sg website)

 

The total quota available for this tender is 4,738 for the following vehicle categories:

 

NON-TRANSFERABLE CATEGORIES:

Category A: Cars (up to 1600cc & 97kW (130bhp)) => 1,664

Category B: Cars (above 1600cc or 97kW (130bhp)) => 1,274

Category D: Motorcycles => 874

 

TRANSFERABLE CATEGORIES:

Category C: Goods Vehicles and Buses => 386

Category E: Open Category => 540

 

During the bidding exercise, bidders can check on the status of their bids and revise their reserve price using these banks’ services or the LTA Open Bidding website (https://ocoe.lta.gov.sg).

Won't see much increases this round due to 7th month and school holidays. May even decrease.

The only issue I feel about the COE trend is that the recent figures does not take into the additional VES surcharge which effectively is a fixed base to be added on top of today's COE prices. Hence, the down trend while true is not so down actually.

Only the PQP is real.

Seventh month also seen lots of people collecting new cars....

I also saw a lot of AD coy at Leng Kee and Kaki Bukit burning offerings during the 1st day of hungry ghost month, all SEs came out in full force praying, young and old

yes, the renewers tan tiok, which is why i suspect that is what the gov will go after next....in fact i think Khaw said he already drawing up plans on emission of old vehicles, but so far only saw the scheme for old bikes.

Thank you for doing your national service again. The trend chart really tells a clear story of COE price. Then in 2015 and 16, many people said COE price will not come down but now we are seeing 30+k COE. Of course it doesn't mean it will continue to go south from current level but as long as there is no PHV to disturb the price , 30+k will probably be here to stay till end of the year .
