For those renewing Cat A COE in October, PQP is $30,284. It's getting lower and lower.

Cat A might drop further in October, causing more owners to scrap their cars earlier to buy new ones.

This round was the 1st bid, initially $25k then last min revised to $34k for Cat B COE..

Not many people looking to buy cars so now the effect spill over to this rounds of COE bidding.

Now is just clearing the backlogs.

ohh, i remembered we bought same period, when COE was 32k. you are so lucky. yours is revised at last min. mine did not revised. and estimated delivery is Oct. today 4th bid also.

SE want to earn yr commission also, so I believe next bidding u will get it.

Probably too few buyers went for the 'guaranteed COE' route.

i30 hatch. Cat b due to >130hp limit

I doubt it matters whether 7th month or not. In the past 25yrs of coe, there is no clear pattern that during 7th month or subsequent month, the coe is lower. Edited September 19, 2018 by Mkl22

My friend booked the facelifted Mitsubishi Outlander last weekend.

 

Stock will only come in by early Nov or Dec.

But C&C already helped him secured the COE this round.

The economic outlook is a bit more shaky now, so fewer people will dare to commit to a car. So overall demand should remain weak. My take is Cat A PQP will eventually reach $30k in October and possibly even lower by the end of this year if the Nov-Jan quota is maintained.
