Somehow the sounds of WRC are more exciting compared to F1. F1 I guess receives all the press and is deemed sexier.

 

In F1 races, all I hear are the screaming sounds of the engine. In WRC, its the gravel grinding, engines roaring and that tell-tale firey explosive pops >PIAK< >PIAK[sweatdrop] . Seen so many horror videos of rally cars ploughing into spectators killing and injuring them. The danger and excitement is there for both driver and spectator. Not to mention animals as well. Saw this one years ago. Not WRC but there was a rally leg held in MY. Driving through plantations at night. Even with those powerful foglights, can almost see nothing. Was a live in-cabin view of the driver cursing and swearing when scores of cows went scurrying for safety. Then BANG! The car crashed into a cow .
