Owen_fan 2nd Gear May 11, 2004 Share May 11, 2004 Wanted to monitor my FC, but not very sure how to do it. Have read those post on how to calculate your car FC, but still not very sure. My mileage during the last top up was 12958km, & I want to top up petrol (1/2 tank, 25.2L) just now at 13325km. So am I right to calculate the my FC as: 13325-12958/25.2 = 14.68km/l? ↡ Advertisement
Slim Neutral Newbie May 11, 2004 Share May 11, 2004 what i do is reset my trip meter on topup, drive till near empty and then note the amt of fuel pumped in and do the maths. (kinda like what you are doin) only thing is i use averaging, ie average a few tanks topup, as sometimes the pump attendant then to continue pumping even after the auto disengagement of the pump...(and sometimes even overflow a little )
