Happily1986 5th Gear November 21, 2010 Share November 21, 2010 Hey guys, care to share where to get Amsoil 5W30? My impression is that most people here get theirs via MO now. Reasonable price is about 15~16 per quart?

Donut Supercharged November 28, 2010 Share November 28, 2010 i'm trying Amsoil for 1st time.... took the plunge after been using Red Line for a long time. I'm a faithful user of Red Line. After using the 5w30 for one month, my FR: Amsoil is quieter. Quite obvious, compared to Red Line. FC is better, i calculated for my ride, it can be about 15% better FC. Power wise, i think its kind of different feel compared to Red Line. I dont know how to describe it. But to put it simply, both Amsoil and Red Line give similar power hmmmph. Now my only question left unknown is whether Amsoil can last 10k KM or not. For Red Line, sometimes i feel the oil breaks down at about 7km-8km. Anyway Amsoil is cheaper than Red Line. So no complaints from me abt this oil

Trex101 3rd Gear January 11, 2011 Share January 11, 2011 No more XLF 5w30??? Nope, supplier increase the price too much so we decide not to bring it in and cut down most of their product range.

Still thought of buying it for the next oil change. For $13/quad, which EO will you recommend? Schaeffer 9000, QSUD or others?

Both are good oil but i'm thinking more of QSUD because it is new and met the latest Dexos 1 spec.
