Take the trip down to the automotive section of a hypermarket and you will be greeted with an army of car care products. Unless you are a professional, or you work for the brand itself, any motorist will be dazzled for choice, especially when they all claim to work for similar purposes and often portray a uniformed look.

Recently, a German company known as Dr. Wack whom specialises in premium automotive care products arrived in town, and has been complimented by a number of established motoring publications. Just like its competitors, you utilize the products to sustain the looks of your vehicle, be it a car or a bike. But where it stands out is its highly credible background.

I'm sorry Dr Who?
Dr. Wack is a premium German car care product founded by Dr. Oskar Kurt Wack. Since its first breakthrough product in 1976, Dr. Wack has produced countless protection and care products for cars, motorbikes and even bicycles. Wait, people polish their bicycles?

His company-Dr. O.K. Wack Chemie GmbH, started in 1975 and is based in Germany. Till today, they maintain a strong philosophy of development, manufacturing and international commercialisation of new applications or improve existing products in the market. From the start, the firm focuses on building robust R&D techniques to create the products that could stand to the toughest requirements and expectations of its customers.

Can I trust you Dr?
The concept that “whoever ceases to be better also ceases to be good” continues to remain the primary consideration of all activities of Dr. O.K. Wack Chemie. This is one of the main reasons why, 37 years on, Dr Wack’s range of products have received a slew of accolades under its belt, re-affirming the firm’s quality assurance.

Renowned German automobile magazine Motorrad awarded Dr. Wack’s S100 chain spray as the leading product in its segment, overtaking products from heavyweights like Castrol and Motul. The magazine also awarded Dr Wack the Best Brand 2012 award under the Cleaning/Care Products category, taking the crown over renowned brands such as Sonax and WD40.

Their polishing products do not fall short either. Launched in 1996, the champion paintwork care product A1 Speed Polish is based on new technology and has been tested and proven by the ACE Auto Club Europa, one of the leading automobile clubs in Germany.

As mentioned earlier, improvisation is key to the company and just this year Dr. Wack decided to create a new product. Its latest offering includes the A1 Polish & Wax, a two-in-one gloss and protection car care that encompass the firm’s latest innovation.

The product has been tested and proven effective against dulled patches and grey haze caused by environmental elements, as well as in removal of fine scratches. Another interesting feature of the A1 Polish & Wax is its wide application, suitable for all types of coloured and metallic paint finishes, including nano and scratchproof paints. The product is so worthy that it was recommended by Auto Bild, a German automotive magazine.

Sound good so far, but looks overhyped?
Dr Wack's range of premium care products is widely recognised in the automobile industry and backed by strong references from big names like Porsche, BMW and even the ultra luxurious Rolls-Royce Motor Cars. Even renowned Japanese bike maker Yamaha, and German tuner Carlsson make up the intensive list of corporate clients.

Consumers shopping for premium, tested car care formulas can look forward to the Dr Wack’s wide range of applications. The firm has a comprehensive lineup of premium products, ranging from the upkeep of mechanical parts, to aesthetical protection and maintenance, for both the exterior and interior of automobiles. The full array of cleaning and protection solutions has been designed and prepared specially for each unique function.

Also in the A1 lineup is an array of interior care applications, including upholstery cleaner and interior odour remover. Convertible owners will be glad with the Convertible Soft Top Cleaner to ensure that their fabric roof will remain in tip-top conditions with stain-free water protection. Dubbed the Convertible Soft Top Proofer, this product is the Advancement of the Multiple Test Winner, credit owing to its new formula.

The strong credentials and the highly acclaimed effectiveness are definitely a boost for Dr Wack. While there are many other credible products such as Sonax, Motul as well as WD40 who target the mass market, Dr. Wack concentrates on a niche audience – customers who discern about quality over quantity.

Its just like Sony, Panasonic, Samsung and there there is Bose, Bang and Olufsen, Loewe. Or Armani Exchange, Seiko, Swatch and then we have Panerai, Cartier, Audemars Piguet. The new kid on the block is one that’s worth trying, especially for those who want the best for their rides, and lets be honest its German whom are natural engineers and if Rolls Royce, a company whom pay an immense amount of time to detail, can bear witness to the quality, do you have a need to complain?
