A range-topping "R" variant will be motivated by the brand's familiar 5.0-litre supercharged V8, rumoured to generate between 503bhp to 542bhp. There is also a possibility that the ford-sourced 240 bhp 2.0-liter turbo unit could later on find its way into the hood.
If you prefer not to get your hair messed up and enjoy better protection should the car turn turtle, the good news is that Jaguar will present a coupe version of the two-seater possibly by late 2013 or early 2014. The F-type’s close rivals include the BMW 6 series convertible and the Mercedes SL-Class.
The new F-Type will be displayed publicly at the 2012 Paris Motor Show later this month, and would go on sale globally next spring.
