After the introduction of the revised Continental GT Coupe and GTC convertible, Bentley is preparing the launch of the facelifted saloon version - the Flying Spur.

As a build-up leads to the eventual launch of the 2014 Bentley Flying Spur during March’s Geneva Motor Show, the luxury carmaker has released a video and teaser sketch of the saloon.

The video shows bits and pieces of the exterior and interior as well as images of iconic structures in major cosmopolitan cities. Perhaps Bentley is trying to highlight that the Flying Spur is the choice of the rich and successful in every part of the world.

From the video, the 2014 model seems to recieve a more upright grille, revised head and tail lights, quad exhaust pipes and a more sculpted body with a flowing belt line. The interior will benefit from higher grade materials and more technology features.

Under the hood, the revised Flying Spur is expected to get an additional engine choice in the form of a turbocharged 4.0-litre V8 generating 500bhp and 660Nm of torque. The engine is mated to an 8-speed transmission with power distributed to all four wheels.

I have been a car fanatic since 1989, when my father was changing our family car then to a Toyota Corolla 1.6 GL fitted with a Twin Cam 16 valve engine that was carburetor-fed, a big deal back in those days. The automobile technology and industry fascinates me and I hope to broadcast these interesting developments to everyone out there through this blog.
