Honda proves sporting intent with new Civic Type R

blogentry-133711-0-13416100-1393918569_thumb.jpgJapan automaker Honda is keen to extend its street racing heritage by showcasing the latest Civic Type R. Albeit in concept form, the car looks all ready for production - and we won't be surprised if it does.

Rumour has it that the new Civic Type R will get a 2.0-litre force-fed engine churning out figures north of 280 horses. And if this is true, it will be the first turbocharged Honda Type R.

Other than the spolier tail lights, we expect much of the features on this concept to head on to production. More details will only come in when the car is unveiled in full glory at the upcoming Geneva Motor Show. Meanwhile, we have these trio of pictures to drool on.

Well, they *finally* decided to give up on that VTEC rubbish and turbo their Type R. Great job boys, you just caught up with 20 years ago.

Finally a force induction Type R, but would anyone buy Honda now at the current COE prices? or M3??

  • Is 'tiny living' really irrelevant in Singapore?

    I discussed the possibility of living in tiny houses in Singapore in an earlier blog post. But as we know, it isn't an option to begin with – no thanks, of course, to our lack of land space.  Someone also pointed out that the idea of tiny houses is "romanticised" – which, I don't deny (but hey, that's why it's a dream).
