Hennessey reveals its tuned up kits for the new Mustang
Hennessey revealed power-up kits for the new Ford Mustang; the HPE600 and HPE700. Producing 620bhp and 717bhp respectively, you won't be left wanting for more power anytime soon.
Order books are open for both kits which are built for the 2015 Mustang GT. Prices start at a whisker under S$19,100 for the HPE600 kit. For that price, you get a 2.3-litre supercharger system, new gaskets plus fluids and the necessary ECU tuning. 806Nm of torque at 4,400rpm comes as standard too.
Want more? Get the HPE700 for an additional S$3,700, Hennessey will install a larger 2.9-litre supercharger system with the necessary hardware ( think larger fuel injectors and pump etc. ). Power increases by 282bhp, from a not-exactly-insufficient 435bhp in stock form, while torque is now a mind-boggling 860Nm at 4,400rpm.
So how fast is it? Hennessy says the with the HPE700 kit, the century sprint can be achieved in a scant 3.6 seconds and it will cross the quarter mile mark in 11.2 seconds at 211km/h. For comparison's sake, a Ferrari F50 does the same quarter mile in 11.7 seconds.
If we were in America, we would definitely get the S$9,600 Carbon Aero package also. It gives the car an even wilder look and it includes a front splitter, side sills and a rear lip spoiler.
