blogentry-133713-0-88770300-1422886292_thumb.jpgAccording to Paultan.org, a Malaysian automotive website, Malaysia’s Domestic Trade, Cooperatives and Consumerism ministry (KPDNKK) announced the prices for RON 95 petrol and RON 97 petrol will be lowered with effect from 1st of February a couple of days ago. RON 95 petrol will now be priced at RM 1.70 a litre, a drop of 21 sen while RON 97 petrol will be priced at RM 2.00 a litre, down from the previous price of RM2.11.

Meanwhile, the price of diesel also fell, with it now costing as much as RON 95 petrol, dropping from 23 sen.

The new adjustment of fuel prices follows the current downtrend in global crude oil prices, with Brent currently staying around the US$50 (S$67) per barrel mark. Fuel prices are reviewed monthly based on a managed float system.
