Winning the bid was Rick Hendrick who paid S$1.7million for the hybrid sport car. According to report, he is the owner of Hendrick Motorsports, a successful American racing team which currently competes in NASCAR Sprint Cup Series.

It is said that in recent years, he has also purchased the first 2012 Camaro ZL1 at the same auction.

All the proceeds of the auction will benefit the Pediatric Brain Tumor Foundation and Camp Southern Ground.

FYI, the Acura NSX is uses a twin-turbocharged V6 engine combined with three electric motors that outputs a strong 570bhp. It does the century sprint in around 3 seconds via its all wheel drive system and uses a nine-speed dual clutch automatic gearbox.
