blogentry-133713-0-45208600-1468221150_thumb.jpgAuto Motor und Sport reported that BMW has given the green light for a more powerful, track-focused M2 Coupe. According to the German publication, the new hardcore version will be lightened too.

Said to be packing close to 400bhp via the help of its uprated 3.0-litre turbocharged engine, the new car will likely feature lighter body panels made out of carbon-fibre. Expect it to have a more aggressive aero package, bigger brakes and a retuned suspension too.

As of now, there are no signs on what the car will be named but chances are it will either be called a M2 GTS or a M2 CSL.
