The Civic Type R production at Honda's factory is coming to an end and to commemorate it, the last cars coming out of the factory will be special.

Said to be a "true collector's item", these Black Edition models will be the last 100 cars that will come off its production line at its U.K. factory. It gets a few design cues to make them stand out from the crowd like the red-painted rear wing end plates on its rear spoiler and several red trimmings in the interior.

Other than that, the car keeps its same 2.0 turbocharged four that outputs 306bhp and 400Nm which is paired to the six-speed manual transmission.

Honda also mentioned that its Swindon plant is preparing to start production of its next generation Civic Type R that is estimated to be revealed later this year.
