Over 70 MyCarForum (MCF) members gathered at the Skoda Centre Singapore along the Leng Kee automotive belt on Thursday evening to attend the MCF Hangout with Skoda. The event was an opportunity for MCF members to learn more about the extensive history of the Skoda brand, as well as to get up close and personal with the full range of Skoda models available in Singapore.

During the event, there was a brief introduction to the storied heritage of the Czech manufacturer, which stretches back more than 100 years. MCF members got to learn how Skoda transformed as a company, beginning by producing bicycles, before transitioning into a car manufacturer. sgCarMart Editor Julian Kho also shared his experience with the Skoda Superb, a lush and comfortable family sedan that offers a lot in the way of practicality, luxury and effortless ease.

Guests also had the opportunity to test drive the full range of Skoda models, with the Kodiaq and Karoq SUVs clearly popular. Of course, some lucky MCF members also walked away with attractive lucky draw prizes.

I discussed the possibility of living in tiny houses in Singapore in an earlier blog post. But as we know, it isn't an option to begin with – no thanks, of course, to our lack of land space.  Someone also pointed out that the idea of tiny houses is "romanticised" – which, I don't deny (but hey, that's why it's a dream). While it's clear tiny houses aren't going to work out here, the concept of 'tiny living' is; not just physically but also mentally. Anyone who has lived enough years lo
