Check out that large screen in the new Mercedes S-Class

By Faiming_low on 14 Feb 2019

Attached Image The first few interior spy shots of Mercedes-Benz's all new S-Class has been realised online and we are taken back by how large its center console touchscreen is.

Is this going to be largest touchscreen to feature in a car? We have no idea but with more and more having touchscreens that are replacing buttons on the center console, there seem to be a 'race' on which manufacturer has the largest screen in their cars.

Attached Image Seen on Carscoops, there are no details on how big the S-Class's screen is nor do we know what the huge screen will allow the occupants to control. You might notice that the center console is not totally button free as there are some physical buttons at the bottom of the screen. It is hard to judge from the photos alone but it does look like buttons for the hazard lights and drive mods.

As for the rest of the car, it is still heavily camouflaged at this point so we have no idea how it will look. The article did say that the car is expected to be available with a Level 3 semi-autonomous driving technology and will all have some form of hybridisation. The PHEV versions are expected to offer all-electric driving ranges of up to 100km.

Since young, Fai Ming has always centered his life around cars. In fact his first word was 'car' and not 'mum' or 'dad'. Aren't kids cute?
