The president of the FIA, Jean Todt, has revealed that Michael Schumacher is making good progress in his recovery. The champion had a near-fatal skiing accident in 2013.

This is a surprising news as Schumacher's family has been very private about his health updates. However, The Sun, revealed that Todt often visits Schumacher and watched the recent German Grand Prix with him on TV.

“I’m always careful with such statements, but it’s true. I saw the race together with Michael Schumacher at his home in Switzerland,” Todt said. “Michael is in the best hands and is well looked after in his house. He does not give up and keeps fighting.”

Sadly, Todt revealed that Schumacher has problems communicating with him.

“His family is fighting just as much and of course our friendship cannot be the same as it once was. Just because there’s no longer the same communication as before. He continues to fight. And his family is fighting the same way.”
