Is this another case of drivers having ego issues? Or was the driver of the Toyota Hiace simply not paying attention?

Posted on SG Road Vigilante's Facebook page is this video of two drivers exiting into the KPE via a merging lane.

We have no idea why would either driver would allow such a silly accident to happen to themselves. In our reckoning, the accident probably happened at less than 20km/h with the Hiace mini van slowing going into the rear of the Hyundai Elantra as the lane merges into a single one.

Is the trouble of needing to waste time and money to get both vehicles repaired worth it? We think not. Giving way to the other vehicle and/or paying attention on the road is a way smarter option in our opinion...

Well both are at fault but the elantra should have checked before edging in and just assuming pple will give way to you...

Where two lanes merge into one, the vehicle in front has the right of way.
But too many drivers behind think otherwise.
Just be alert and prepared to give in.

If a bus wants to out-squeeze you, just let them win. You can always overtake them later. How fast can they possibly drive?

Van clearly at fault. Typical douchebag doing a block

But hey....the righteous will say it’s the ‘principle’ ok?

Worth the energy & time wasted?

  • Is 'tiny living' really irrelevant in Singapore?

I discussed the possibility of living in tiny houses in Singapore in an earlier blog post. But as we know, it isn't an option to begin with – no thanks, of course, to our lack of land space.  Someone also pointed out that the idea of tiny houses is "romanticised" – which, I don't deny (but hey, that's why it's a dream). While it's clear tiny houses aren't going to work out here, the concept of 'tiny living' is; not just physically but also mentally. Anyone who has lived enough years lo
