This is what a Bentley would look like if it had 911 GT3RS stripes on it. It is usually the case when a tuning house takes a very expensive car and then makes it look very boy-racer. But sometimes car manufacturers amaze me and come up with their own boy racer cars. This time Bentley has come up with what I call
Rapidly escalating oil and gas prices have drawn the attention of political leaders, including President Barack Obama and Attorney General Eric Holder. While the government can do little to affect prices, it can monitor the activities of traders and speculators to ensure that no laws are being broken. Attorney General Holder was clear that there is no current evidence of fraud or illegal activity, and that the move was preemptory in nature only.
As quoted by CNN, Holder said,
[extract]The idea of having go-karting as a CCA is not new but since Formula 1 came to Singapore in 2008 and Kartright Speedway (currently Singapore's only go-karting facility) opened at the end of 2009, no progress has been made about pushing go-karting to the schools.
Finally, St. Joseph
[extract]The Singapore Karting Championship (SKC) has returned for a second season, this time organised by McElrea Racing Pte. Ltd, who won the three-year bid for the commercial rights of the Championship. Only winning the bid in March, they only had less than two months to prepare for the five-round series that started at the end of April at Kartright Speedway, Singapore
Opel held a launch event at their showroom last week for their new Astra Turbo, which is a car that has a neat trick up its sleeve.
Now, the basic information you need to know is that the Astra Turbo is available with two turbocharged engines, a 1.4 and a 1.6. But that's not its main trump card.
What is it? Read on.
The clus is of course in the picture. Why would Opel want cyclists?
Because, the rear bumper of the Astra Turbo hides a very nifty bicycle carrier, which slides out l

Every time an unknowing poster starts a thread on car modifications, there will, within minutes, be a deluge of posts espousing certain truths, half-truths and myths to dissuade anyone from embarking on the journey to car modifications. Any helpful advice proffered will invariably get buried and lost amongst such posts. I will not dispute that some of arguments made are indeed the truth; for e.g. the fact that modifying a car can get very exp
The weather of late has been pretty crazy, with searing temperatures allied with the onset of sudden heavy thunderstorms to make our lives all miserable.
(But then again, that's how Singapore's weather has been like forever, so at least it's not a new phenomenon)
Despite that though, if there's work to be done, there's work to be done. And the sgCarMart team has been hard at work this week, braving the weather to bring you guys some amazing photos for our articles, just for our readers'
A big congratulation to the Nissan Leaf as it has defeated the Audi A8 and BMW 5-Series to earn the title of 2011 World Car of the Year. In 2010, the Volkswagen Polo took home this award. The award shows once again the importance of electric vehicles and the trend will continue in the next years. Fuel efficient vehicles are slowly becoming the core product of large automakers and a bet that can transform many companies.
Deemed a "gateway to a brave new electric world," the panel of 66 automo
I have been doing a little bit of reading here and there about the future of car interiors. Aside from the fact that I had nothing else better to do I have realized that I actually spend a whole lot of my time in my cars and also the other cars I happen to get my hands on from time to time. An average person would spend at least an hour or two in their car trying to get from here to there during rush hour or trying to get about town and that car seat and all the controls like the steering wheel,
Kia has unveiled the North American version of the Kia Rio sedan at the New York International Auto Show in the US. The compact sedan shares the same platform as the Kia K2 unveiled at Auto Shanghai a couple of days ago but it features a face that more closely resembles the Kia Rio hatch. The chassis and undercarriage of the Kia Rio sedan is largely the same as that found on the hatch version. Similarly, the interior is configured in much the same way as the hatch, with minor revisions here and
It looks like Volvo wants to challenge the big boys again by showing us a preview of its Volvo Concept Universe top-of-the-line concept car at this year's Shanghai Motor Show. The location was chosen as China's Geely now owns Volvo and this concept car is also the first look on where Geely wants to take Volvo. And I hope Volvo gets to go places as the Volvo Concept Universe, daft name aside, looks pretty impressive. Awkward, but truly impressive.

I came across this story at asiaone motoring and found it so hilarious I thought I should share it with readers of this blog as well. Its about a woman who parked at a carpark with full knowledge that her car could be clamped because there was a huge sign saying 'private property' and that unauthorized parking will result in the car being wheel clamped. And she did get wheel clamped but went to the extent of begging the attendant to unclamp her car without payin
Volkswagen held a press launch for the new Polo GTI hot hatch on Monday, and it was probably one of the more interesting ones I've experienced in my (relatively short) media career.
What they did was lay out a small circuit at the Marina Bay Golf Course, and let us journalists loose in the spicy little car. And, knowing how competitive us motoring writers are, there were prizes awarded for the top three fastest times of the day.
How did I fare? Well...
The basic circuit layout was th
It has been a while since I last typed about something from the good old days. Since we live in a society that basically disposes of their cars after a decade or so it is apt that we share something older than 10 years so that we can reminisce on the good old days, or the day old days, depending on the car I choose to review. So let's start the ball rolling with a Volvo. The Volvo 850 T5-R and the 850R models to be exact.
Once upon a time, Volvo was famed for its safe and utterly box-like o
To adopt the lingo of the marketing campaign for the 2011 Suzuki Swift - I'm a fan! And if you went down to the nearest Suzuki dealership to give this new hatch a test drive, there is a pretty good chance you would be one too!
But before you head down to the showroom, my only advice is to throw out or shelf away all your driving experience with respect to luxury marques and sports cars for those 10-15 minutes behind the wheel of this car. Because what the Swift (was and still is) meant to b

I was a victim of vandalism a couple of months ago and the result is a 5cm deep scratch mark on the right door fender. My car was slightly over one year old then and I had a strong urge to send the car for a paint job. However, a bad paint job by Kah Motors on my former Pearl White FD Civic leaves me with second thoughts
For every year, Ward's AutoWorld magazine picks the best interiors the automotive industry has to offer. For the 2011 season, the publication chose the 10 best interiors after editors analyzed 51 vehicles that were all-new or featured significantly upgraded interior. Ward's Auto picked the 10 winners from all segments, including luxury sedans, economy cars, SUV and MPV.
These cars were chosen after editors completed score sheets for each one based on materials, ergonomics, safety, the human-
Subaru has unveiled the all-new fourth-generation Impreza at the New York Motor Show, which it claims to be more efficient than the outgoing model.
Which is all well and good, but what happened to the Subaru of before?
Subaru used to be known for their cutting edge design and technology. Its Legacy models were handsome and understated-looking executive cars, and the Impreza were highly impressive performers, as evidenced by their success in the World Rally Championship during the 1990s.
Hyundai Motor Company plans to expand its turbo engine family with the introduction of a brand new 1.6L T-GDI turbo engine. Based on the existing 1.6L GDI four-cylinder engine which currently propels the Korean market Hyundai Avante, the unit uses a twin-scroll turbocharger which improves the engine response and performance. At the same time, the turbocharger increases efficiency at low engine speeds, improving combustion efficiency and lowers emissions.

Lewis Hamilton claimed victory at the China Formula 1 Grand Prix held on the 17th of April 2011. It was quite a feat as just before the race the McLaren mechanics were hard at work repairing Hamilton's car which suffered a fuel leak. It was a major victory of sorts as this is the 3rd race of the 2011 season and finally someone has ended Sebastian Vettel's run of victories. He came in second nonetheless ahead of Red Bull's other driver, Mark Webber who himself drove a fabulous race. He started fr
