In a cool PR effort, Tesla has temporarily increased the range of some of its models to help Florida residents escape Hurricane Irma.
According Electrek, Tesla has unlocked the full battery capacity of Model S and Model X 60 and 60D models with 75-kWh battery packs. For those that unfamiliar with the american manufacturer's line up, the '60' models were once the entry-level Model S and Model X variants and were software limited to 60-kWh despite having 75-kWh batteries.

Toyota has announced that it plans to launch ten electrified vehicles in China by 2020 at the current Beijing Motor Show.
With that in mind, the Japanese company unveiled plug-in hybrid versions of the Corolla and Levin. Looking very much similar to our Altis other than a slight change of its front bumpers, both cars are said to have an electric-only range of at least 50km. It is slightly lesser than the current Prius plug-in hybrid's range of 68km.
Other details remain unknown and the
Dodge has its own special way of getting into the holiday spirit—and, you guessed it, it does indeed involve the Hellcat. Premiering in one of the automaker's new holiday sales ads is this wild Santa sleigh that's based on a Dodge Challenger Hellcat Redeye, that 797-hp supercharged muscle car that's already plenty ridiculous on its own.
From what we can see, the sleigh is a chopped-up Challenger coupe with two massive metal runners replacing the four wheels. The supercharged 6.2-liter Hellca
Despite Lewis Hamilton's team winning all seven races so far in the 2019 calendar year, the Formula 1 champion is still weary of his rivals in Ferrari. To be more exact, he feels that Ferrari’s engine features a power mode that his Mercedes does not have.
“They were so quick on the straights,” Hamilton remarked in an interview with Autosport. “They definitely have another power mode that we currently don’t have. So, all of a sudden they turn up the power and he (Vettel) pulls away ma

There’s a time and place to go fast guys, and the carpark is not one of them.
What happened?
An overzealous Volkswagen Beetle was going fast enough in a multi-storey carpark (MSCP) at Bukit Merah Central to break through the metal and concrete barriers.
Someone managed to record footage of the incident from their car, likely through dashcam.
Can’t imagine how loud that would have been on the outside. Hope there wasn’t anyone under the car with those bricks sent fly
At the European driving event for the Volkswagen Golf R, company representatives confirmed that they would be setting up a new performance orientated division, named the R division, to compete with other similar divisions such as the BMW M division and Mercedes's AMG.

Who says Monaco will be a race where it becomes a procession or a 'follow the leader race'? This time the 2010 Monaco Formula 1 Grand Prix was action packed and there was action down to the wire. The final two laps were run under a safety car and just before the end of the final lap, the safety car pulled in and there was even an overtaking move made by Michael Schumacher on Fernando Alonso, which he somehow managed to pull off.
Pole sitter Mark Webber won this race which was totally action
Volkswagen will debut cylinder deactivation (cylinder shut-off) technology in the new 1.4-liter TSI turbocharged, direct-injection engine beginning in 2012. Volkswagen will be the first carmaker to implement this technology in a turbocharged four-cylinder engine in large-scale production. The primary goal of the system is to reduce significantly fuel consumption by temporarily shutting off two of the four cylinders (cylinders 2 and 3) during low to mid loads, effectively making it similar to the
Recently, I chanced upon a Youtube video where Autocar UK pits the all-new 2012 BMW M5 against the MY2012 Nissan GT-R. The history of the M5 is legendary, dating back to 1984 where the first generation was then the fastest production sedan in the world.
On the other hand, the GT-R is perhaps one of the best, if not the best ultra high performance sports car that Japan has ever produced. It is currently one of the fastest production cars to lap the N
You've probably saw the events live, read about it and saw the men and their machines. Now see the babes that were present at the event whom added a little touch of glamor to the otherwise testosterone filled event.
The late Neil Armstrong was a very famous man due to him being the first man to walk on the moon in 1969. Astronauts of that time were on the same level as celebrities. And in order to drum up sales, a Chevrolet dealer (Rathmann Chevrolet) in Florida tried to get as many astronauts as they could to drive one of their cars.
Astronauts were given a special lease to allow them to trade in for a new Corvette every year and in 1967, Armstrong got a blue Chevrolet Corvette that came with a

Cars might be getting smarter, more efficient and environmentally friendly over the years but one aspect that hasn't changed in the face of motoring - fuel prices.
The Volkswagen Group are among numeral carmakers that are actively pursuing ways to manufacture cars that are environmentally friendly and fuel efficient. Audi is no stranger to this formula and the premium German marque aims to bring it one step further - from saving fuel to saving money on fuel through a nifty online fea

In this Head 2 Head episode, Motor Trend compares the Tesla Model X with Bentley's new flagship SUV, the Bentagya. Which car is the better one and which one is the faster one?
Said to be one of the fastest SUV in the world, the 600bhp Bentayga can reach 301km/h and do the century sprint in 4.7 seconds. But Motor Trend reckons they can find something else that is faster. In fact, this SUV so fast that it needs a trailer to slow it down in a straight line.

Classic Recreations recently secured a license from Ford to bring back some of the automaker's most cherished Mustangs. We're talking the 1960s-era Boss 302 and 429, as well as the Mach 1.
The Yukon, Oklahoma-based company has since unveiled the first of the modern recreations, stunning audiences at last week's 2018 SEMA show in Las Vegas where the car debuted.

A Japanese publication has suggested that Toyota/Lexus may share a rear-wheel drive platform and inline-six engine with Mazda.
A couple of months ago, Mazda announced that they are developing a family of straight-six Skyactiv-X engines for use in its higher-end models and these engines can be matched to a rear- and all-wheel drive drivetrain.
This prompted Best Car to investigate, revealing that Toyota’s first Mazda-based model could be a successor to the Mark X sedan th
There seems to be a common occurrence between such drivers… Can’t quite put my finger on it…
What happened?
A BMW 2 Series (220i Coupe SR HID M Sport if you care) ran a red light at Ang Mo Kio Avenue 8.
This is in itself, nothing special. More evidence to Singaporeans being bad drivers perhaps.
But this time, there’s also the driver’s wife and child in the passenger seat. Small enough to warrant needing a child seat, if the Facebook post is to be believed.

Alfa Romeo recently unveiled 2 new variants of the Brera and Spider models in the UK, namely the 1750 TBI petrol and the 2.0 JTDM diesel. Both the engines are turbocharged, with the petrol and diesel versions generating 200hp and 170hp respectively.
The 1750 TBi generates 320Nm of torque, propelling the Brera from zero to 100km/h in 7.7 seconds. In the Spider, it takes 0.1 second slower but is still impressive considering that it is a cabriolet. Top speed for both models is 235 km/h. The 2.
After 11 accidents involving the newly launched 458 Italia with five of them ended up in flames, Ferrari finally decided to investigate the issue and announced a recall on their latest supercar.
